Weston Injury Prevention (WIP)
Weston Emergency Medical Services has developed an ongoing education and training program for injury prevention in and around the home. Called WIP, the program will
focus on home safety as well as accident and injury prevention. The goal of the
program is to educate families on how to make their home injury proof, as well
as what to do in case an injury does occur. We strongly encourage groups such as the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts to participate in the WIP program. We will provide all the information and materials necessary and will tailor the program to meet your organizations needs. For further information call 222-2600 and leave a message. You will be contacted promptly. Program Co-ordinater: Nisan Eventoff, Weston EMS
HeartSmart
Weston EMS has addressed the many facets of cardiac health with a comprehensive program called HeartSmart. Our continuing focus on training groups and individuals within the Weston community to deal with cardiac events improves the health and welfare of our town and surrounding area. Weston Kiwanis has partnered with Weston EMS to provided funds for the purchase of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for our first responders.
Weston EMS volunteers include state certified instructors who conduct all CPR training sessions, and are a reflection of our commitment to professional standards and practices, delivered by neighbors for the benefit of neighbors. For more information or to arrange a Heartsmart program, contact Nisan Eventoff at 222-2600. |
